Weekday Mon-Thurs.

Audio/Visual System (Includes 2-75” Televisions and Sound System)

Nature Education Activities

The programs available are designed to meet the needs of your group. Field trips are offered all year for schools, 4H groups, boy and girl scout troops, and families doing homeschooling and remote learning. Nature Education Center (Lower Level)

Open Nature Center(Lower Level)  Hours

April – October, 2025  Hours – Sundays, 1-4pm

A volunteer will be available to answer questions about the animals and exhibits in the nature center.    All children must be accompanied by an adult.  Donations appreciated.   Additional Open Nature Center hours available by appointment.   Email:  alleyparkoe@yahoo.com  or Call:  740-681-5025 

Story Trail in cooperation with the Fairfield County District Library – A new story is added seasonally.  Take a hike around the lake and enjoy a good book.

Upcoming Outdoor Education Programming:

February 1st – Star Gazing at Alley Park – 5:30pm

March 8th – Maple Tapping Festival and Pancake Breakfast – 8-11am 

March 16th – St. Patty Hike @Keller-Kirn Park.  All ages – 2-4pm  

April 26th – Seeds of Change (Earth Day/Arbor Day Program) held at Rising Park, 10a-noon.                 Free Event for all ages.   Give Aways and information from local community partners.

May 2nd – Park, Afterdark at Alley Park, 7-9pm.   Co sponsored by COSI

May 18th – Meet at Alley Park for a Wildflower Hike, 2-4pm.

June 2-5 – Evening Archery Camp for ages 8-15  (Register online)

June 9-12 – Morning and Evening Archery Camps (Register online)

June 21st – Youth Fishing Derby (Registration available May 10th) 

Summer Nature Camps for Ages 6-14 – June & July (Register online)
